The time at Farfar Academy has come to an end and I am now in Stockholm freelancing around waiting to land a full time job at some sweet agency. The time at Farfar academy has really been an amazing experience and I’m very happy to be home again.

When I started this blog I wanted it to work as my portfolio in a way, at the same time as I could keep everybody up to date on where I was and what I was doing. I’m trying to figure out if it still is a good idea. Maybe I’ll shut it down and just start a regular portfolio site. I don’t know yet.

In the meantime have a look at an image I made for my presentation about my time at glueLondon. Thanks to some nice Cinema4D and Photoshop techniques from greyscalegorilla I think it turned out pretty sweet.

Last week, on Thursday the 2nd of April, the annual Ampe awards were held in Mardid. In the “Internet” category, Netthink, my former trainee agency, took home the gold for a campaign I had been working on during my placement there! I got a big smile on my face when I saw this picture on the Ampe website. The girl in the middle is Elena, the Adidas account director, and the guy with the red tie is Mario, the creative director. Two of the many people I made good friends with during my stay.

Spanish publicity

During my first placement at Netthink in Madrid I must have made some kind of impression because a few months later I was asked by the Spanish magazine, Interactiva if they could do an interview with me. Of course! I said. They sent me some questions by mail and I answered them as well as I could. Most of them were about the differences between Netthink and Farfar, which I don’t know that much about since I’ve never worked at Farfar. But I told them my view on digital communication and things that inspire me and stuff like that.

I just received an issue of the magazine and I ended up on a whole spread! It’s all in Spanish and since I’m not that good at understanding what it says I hope the translator has done a good job. I can only imagine if he just ran it through Google Translate.

Battle of the shapes

A couple of weeks ago I found this a blog, grayscalegorilla, which is now one of my top 5 in my Google reader. He’s a motion designer and blogs about motion graphics and puts up a tutorial every once in a while. He also, every week, gives out a 5 second project with a theme where anyone can have a go on creating a 5 second long motion piece and it will be put up on a vimeo channel for everyone to look at. This week I decided to have a go at the theme circle vs. square. Here’s what I did:

Farfar Academy is a brand new trainee programme and we are ten people who are the first to be sent out across the world into placements at agencies in the Isobar network. One of our missions is to continuously build awareness around the education and to let people know how cool it is so they’ll also want to apply!

Planet Kitchen

This is my new obsession. A while ago I found this guy on Flickr, Seb Przd, and was amazed by his images. I just had to know how they were made, so I started digging around the internet. The technique is to take a bunch of photos so that they together cover your entire surroundings, 360×180 degrees. Then with the help of Hugin, a panorama software, you stitch all the images together into an equirectangular panorama. The final step is to use a Photoshop Plug-in, Flexify, to get the spherical effect.

I made this one of our kitchen in London from 16 images with a 10mm lens. Hope you like it!

Apart from being an entertainer at children’s birthday parties I am also a member of a band back home in Stockholm, Sweden. We recently recorded a few tracks in our home studio and I built a little website for us.

Mini Christmas

During my first placement at Netthink in Madrid I had the privilege of working with MINI. One of the campaigns we did was for the MINI Challenge 2009, a race where just about anyone with €40.000 can become a race car driver.

Anyway, as Christmas was coming up MINI wanted to wish everybody a merry christmas. And they wanted to do it in an email with the help of the MINI Challenge. So I made this:
